Privacy

This site has no accounts and no advertising, and it uses Google Analytics only if you say yes. Here is everything it does with what your browser sends.

Sansar Lab is run by Muse Mesh Private Limited; that covers all of saansar.com, the Sansar demo included. Questions: kushal@muse-mesh.com.

Text you type

  • The demo. When you press Continue, your text is sent to our model service, which runs on Google Cloud, to write a continuation. The text is not stored. We log only its length and how many tokens were asked for.
  • The tokenizer box. Text you type there is sent to our server to be split into tokens and counted. It is handled in memory and is neither stored nor logged.

Requests and rate limits

  • To keep the demo available to everyone, it limits how often one visitor can use it. The limits are counted against your IP address, in the server's memory only; they are not written anywhere.
  • Like any website, the site is served by a hosting provider, Google Cloud, which keeps standard request logs (such as IP address, browser, the address requested and the time). We use them only to run the site and protect it from abuse.

Analytics, only if you agree

On your first visit a small notice asks whether we may use Google Analytics. Until you press Accept, no analytics code is loaded and nothing is sent to Google Analytics. If you press Decline, it is never loaded.

If you accept, Google Analytics (run by Google) is loaded, sets its cookies (_ga and _ga_…, kept for up to two years) and receives:

  • The pages you view: the address without anything after a “?”, the page title and the page you came from (also without its “?” part).
  • What you use, as counts: that you ran the demo, with only the length of your text as a range (0–50, 50–150 or 150–300 characters), the model and whether it worked; that you tried an example; that you used the tokenizer box, with how many tokenizers it compared; which lab tab or run you opened; that you followed a link to Hugging Face, GitHub, Muse Mesh's other sites or elsewhere (not which page); and whether you switched to light or dark.
  • What Google Analytics collects from any visit: an approximate location (country and city, from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store), your browser, device type, screen size and language.

Never sent: the text you type into the demo or the tokenizer, or anything the model writes. Google signals and ad personalisation are off, and nothing is used for advertising. We keep analytics data for 14 months and use it only to see how the site is used.

Changing your mind: use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Declining after accepting stops collection at once and deletes the Google Analytics cookies from this site; clearing this site's data in your browser does the same and brings the notice back.

What stays in your browser

  • Without your consent the site sets no cookies (with it, only the Google Analytics cookies above).
  • It remembers your light or dark choice, your answer to the analytics notice (and the animated sky's settings, if you change them) in your browser's local storage. That never leaves your device.
  • There is no advertising code on the site.

Other services

  • Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them.
  • Google Analytics, only after you accept it (above).
  • Links to Hugging Face, where the models, tokenizer and corpus are published, take you to their site, under their own policies.

The training data shown here

The runs, scores and live progress on this site are published by our own training machines. They describe experiments, not people.
